Understanding Our Financial Approach
Most financial services complicate things. We've spent years simplifying them instead. Our process isn't about fancy jargon or overwhelming you with options. It's about understanding where you are, where you want to be, and creating a realistic path between those two points.
Since 2019, we've refined this approach with hundreds of UK businesses and individuals. What started as a standard consultancy evolved into something more personal—because money matters are deeply personal, even when they're business-related.
Here's exactly how we work with clients, from first contact to ongoing support.
Three Core Phases
Every client relationship follows these stages. No shortcuts, no skipped steps.
Discovery & Assessment
We dig into your current financial landscape. This takes about two weeks and involves detailed conversations, document review, and sometimes uncomfortable questions. But honest assessment is the only way forward.
Strategy Development
Based on what we've learned, we build a tailored strategy. This isn't a template. Each plan reflects your specific circumstances, risk tolerance, and timeline. We present options, not prescriptions.
Implementation Support
Plans mean nothing without execution. We guide you through implementation, adjusting as reality meets strategy. This phase typically runs 6-9 months, with regular check-ins and course corrections.

Initial Consultation: What Actually Happens
First meetings often feel formal. Ours don't. We meet at our Sheffield office or via video call, whichever suits you better.
During this 90-minute session, we cover:
- Your current financial position without judgment
- Short and long-term goals, both practical and aspirational
- Previous experiences with financial services (good and bad)
- What keeps you awake at night financially
There's no pressure to commit. Some people need time to think. That's completely fine.
Custom Strategy: Built Around Your Reality
Cookie-cutter advice doesn't work. We've seen it fail too many times.
Your strategy development includes detailed analysis of income patterns, expenditure habits, investment opportunities suitable for your situation, and risk mitigation approaches that actually make sense for you.
We present everything in plain language. If you don't understand something, that's our failure, not yours. Questions are encouraged—expected, really.
The strategy document becomes your roadmap. It's typically 15-20 pages, but focused on actionable steps rather than filler content.

Typical Client Journey Timeline
Week 1: First Contact
Initial conversation, either by phone or email. We schedule your consultation and send preparatory materials so you can gather relevant documents.
Week 2-3: Assessment Phase
Deep dive into your financial situation. Multiple conversations, document analysis, and clarifying questions. This phase determines everything that follows.
Week 4-5: Strategy Creation
We develop your custom financial strategy. This includes scenario planning, risk assessment, and multiple pathway options based on different decision points.
Week 6: Strategy Presentation
We walk through your complete strategy, answer questions, and make adjustments based on your feedback. Only proceed when you're genuinely comfortable.
Month 2-8: Implementation
Regular support as you execute the strategy. Monthly check-ins, quarterly reviews, and ongoing adjustments as circumstances change. This is where theory becomes reality.
